Introduction to Media Literacy & Filmmaking

Every year we go to schools to introduce kids to Media Literacy

Social Skills

By now we know that one of the most effective ways to reach and connect with kids is through films. Given their attraction for kids, and the profound impact they often have, films can help build a bridge to learning. Children, in general, tend to be more attentive and cooperative when adults make use of their interest in films.

THAT IS WHY

Every year we run an event to introduce children to media literacy & filmmaking through lots of play and fun.

Over this week, participants will get insight into the mindful use and consumption of content creation. They are introduced to a variety of digital content creation and filmmaking activities. We will also discuss marketing campaigns, and distinguish between fake and truth. During this one week workshop, children will create a short film as well. This event is supported by the marketing and video production agency avision.lu
The workshop is run by filmmaker Andra and the mentors at 2030, WHEN i GROW UP.

100 % guarantee: YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE THIS!

EduTation = learn while being entertained at the same time.

Our workshops are an effective way for kids to gain both digital skills and media literacy while making the learning fun and creative. Most of all, they will develop and cement team collaboration and social-emotional learning competencies by making a film together.
Participants will get insight into lots of inspirational examples of pupil produced films. We’ll show them how to use the power of filmmaking – diving into the art of storytelling, live-action, animation, green screen techniques, postproduction and so much more – to share their message with the world.
